The New York Jets continued their 2024 NFL season with a 24-3 victory over the New England Patriots in Week 3.

Every win was a team effort. Individually, certain players usually stand out. That was the case on Thursday at MetLife Stadium.

Here is the stock report from Jets Wire after the Jets (2-1) victory over the Patriots (1-2):

Add: QB Aaron Rodgers

That was Aaron Rodgers. The 40-year-old quarterback gave the Jets fans exactly what they had been waiting for against the Patriots. Rodgers finished Week 3 with 27 of 35 passes, throwing for 281 yards and two touchdowns.

Add: TE Tyler Conklin

Wide receivers Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard each stood out. This performance, however, belonged to Tyler Conklin. The tight end finally made an impact on a game after being invisible for the first two games of 2024. He led the Jets with 93 yards on five catches, catching all but one pass thrown to him.

Share in the red: OL Morgan Moses

..

.

It’s a harsh reality, but the best skill is availability. Morgan is coming off a knee injury and will reportedly miss “a couple of games.” Following Moses’ departure, first-round rookie Olu Fashanu moved into the lineup.

Pro Football Focus gave Moses a 50.8 overall grade in 60 snaps played. PFF gave Fashanu a 70.8 overall grade in his 14 snaps played.

Stock in the red: Linebacker Jamien Sherwood

It’s not that Sherwood was terrible, he just wasn’t the flawless backup he was in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans. PFF’s grade on Sherwood dropped from 82.7 to 65.5. Sherwood had some missed attempts in the running game and was targeted four times in the passing game, allowing four catches.

Increase: Will McDonald IV

September 19, 2024; East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA; New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett (7) is sacked by New York Jets defensive end Micheal Clemons (72) and defensive end Will McDonald IV (99) in the 1st half at MetLife Stadium. Did you think McDonald was done after three sacks against the Titans? Apparently not. In a sack fest for the Pats, McDonald added two more sacks, with a QB hit and three more defensive stops. McDonald is hitting the brakes on his early season successes, but it’s hard not to be excited.

Add: DT Quinnen Williams

Like McDonald, Williams also recorded a sack. In addition, he was PFF’s highest-graded Jets defender in the win with an impressive overall score of 89.5. After putting in decent and underwhelming performances in New York’s first two games, Williams was very good for Gang Green’s defense in this game.

Stock up: CB Sauce Gardner

After Gardner’s rating was at an all-time low against the Titans… as expected… Sauce is back on the upside. Gardner allowed two catches on three attempts, but the total was just nine yards – not even a first down. Gardner was also credited with a defensive stop.
