The NSE Nifty50 index closed 31.5 points higher at 24572.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed 12.16 points lower at 80424.68.

(up 1.9%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.74%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 1.73%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 1.68%) and NTPC Ltd. (up 1.27%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 2.66%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 1.22%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 1.22%), and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 1.33%) closed the session lower. (down 1.19%), Axis Bank Ltd. (down 1.17%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 1.03%), Tata Motors Ltd. (down 0.97%), ICICI Bank Ltd.
