The biggest losers included Aro Granite Industries Ltd. (down 1.73%), Pokarna Ltd. (down 1.42%), Oriental Trimex Ltd. (down 0.84%) and MOIL Ltd. (down 0.20%).

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 24.15 points at 24,565.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 17.06 points to 80,453.9 (as of around 10:39 am).

Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 2.49%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (up 2.26%), LTIMindtree Ltd. (up 1.82%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (up 1.8%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 1.8%), NTPC Ltd. (up 1.32%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.31%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (up 1.01%), Wipro Ltd. (up 0.97%) and Tata Steel Ltd. (up 0.92%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 1.74%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 1.19%), Grasim Industries Ltd. (down 1.16%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (down 1.14%), Tata Motors Ltd. (down 1.09%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (down 1.01%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 0.8%), Axis Bank Ltd. (down 0.79%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 0.77%) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (minus 0.74%) in the red.
