NMDC Ltd. (down 6.03%), MOIL Ltd. (down 3.49%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd. (down 3.36%), Coal India Ltd. (down 3.27%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd. (down 2.81%), Lexus Granito (India) Ltd. (down 2.26%), Oriental Trimex Ltd. (down 1.65%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (down 1.43%), KIOCL Ltd. (down 1.10%) and 20 Microns Ltd. (down 0.92%) were among the day’s biggest losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index closed 4.75 points higher at 24143.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed 149.85 points higher at 79105.88.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 2.35%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 2.11%), Infosys Ltd. (up 1.44%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 1.4%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (up 1.05%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 1.01%), Wipro Ltd. (up 0.95%), Tata Motors Ltd. (up 0.85%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 0.83%) and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 0.81%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 4.11%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 3.3%), Coal India Ltd. (down 3.27%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. closed lower. (down 2.39%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (minus 2.31%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 2.13%), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 1.94%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 1.83%), Adani Enterprises Ltd. (down 1.69%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (minus 1.45%) in the red.
