Stephen Nedoroscik recreates the epic Superman phone booth scene in the teaser for the “Tonight Show”

When U.S. gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik was named an American hero at the 2024 Paris Olympics thanks to his pommel horse routine, many fans compared him to Clark Kent for countless reasons, so it was only fitting that he portrayed Superman when he competed in the Olympics. The Tonight Show.

For example, Nedoroscik became a meme before his pommel horse routine in the team competition. He wore his glasses before the routine and closed his eyes to focus before taking the stage. But he took his glasses off once he performed, similar to how Clark Kent takes off his disguise before becoming Superman.

And, of course, many Americans consider Nedoroscik a hero for helping the U.S. gymnastics team win its first medal since 2008. The team won bronze in the competition.

Nedoroscik alluded to this comparison when he referred to The Tonight Show on Tuesday night. He recreated his iconic “eyes closed” moment in his dressing room before heading to a phone booth, where he removed his glasses and unbuttoned his shirt to show off his two bronze medals from the Paris Olympics.

It’s now difficult to tell the difference between him and Clark Kent.
