Surely no one would be crazy enough to doubt the idea that Stephen King has had a major impact on the world of frightening entertainment. After all, we can attribute some of the author’s brilliant mind to best horror movies of all time. That’s a big reason why so many value his opinion highly when he reviews a movie or TV show. King recently took to social media to share his opinion on another scary movie that’s about to hit theaters. The prolific writer gave the film a glowing recommendation, and if you’re still skeptical (for some reason), know that the flick also has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film in question is Strange darlinga horror thriller written and directed by JT Mollner, who particularly loved the Western film Outlaws and Angels. Stephen King took X (formerly known as Twitter) to share his thoughts on Mollner’s flick. The horror maestro tried to keep his feelings brief, and that’s an indication of the quality of the film. In King’s case, however, he didn’t share his minimal thoughts out of any kind of disdain. Quite the opposite. King said the following:
Such a taste seems to be enough to get viewers to watch the film sooner rather than later. There must be some truly unique storytelling at play if Mr. King is trying to keep mostly quiet about what he saw. Honestly, if I were in JT Mollner’s shoes right now, I would be upset that the Salem’s Lot The author enjoyed my work. And as mentioned, King’s response was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of positive reactions.
Strange darling has a critical freshness rating of 100% on Rotten tomatoes based on 18 reviews at the time of writing. Although there is a good chance that number could change over time, that is still an impressive start. And of course, the comments from the experts so far convey very positive feelings about this horror title. Trace Thurman from Damn disgusting called the film “a relentless thrill ride that feels like an extended feature-length chase scene.” diversity Michael Nordine seemed to repeat that Cujo Thoughts from the author, who claims that the film is “best experienced with as little prior knowledge as possible.” Seriously, my interest is really piqued.
I really appreciate the critics’ opinions, but I also enjoy when Stephen King sees fit to regale us with his thoughts on pop culture. King praised Bone Tomahawk, praised Cemetery of cuddly toys and even in view of his Seal of approval for horror series Out of. Damn it, King even exaggerated Mayor of Kingstownalthough he seems to have “no idea what’s going on” when he turns on the drama series. His views are always welcome in my eyes and at this point it’s clear to see that he always strives to be honest and thoughtful.
That’s why people should really take his choice of words seriously. Strange darlingwhich has been described as a cat-and-mouse thriller. It sounds like JT Mollner will direct Adaptation of The long roadseems to have something really crazy in store for moviegoers. Such a prospect is all the more exciting considering the film has been praised by critics and is endorsed by Stephen King.
Strange darling is scheduled to hit theaters on August 23. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and watch the Cinema program 2024 for news about other upcoming horror movies.
