Sports fans go wild over ‘greatest photo ever’ as Minnesota Twins post snapshot during rain break: ‘Can’t be true’

Minnesota Twins fans can be forgiven for their frustration during the rain interruption on Monday night, but for spectators it was an unforgettable moment.

As a storm passed through the city and devotees sought shelter from the elements, a brave photographer ventured out and captured the magic.

In a photograph that some now call “the greatest ever taken,” the Minnesota night sky is shown with a rainbow above and thunderclaps criss-crossing it.

“This can’t be true,” wrote one fan, while another added, “This is unbelievable bro.”

“This has to be one of the most beautiful MLB photos ever taken,” noted one baseball observer, and another said, “I’m not kidding when I say this might be one of the greatest pictures ever taken.”

The image was shared by the Minnesota Twins’ official X account and quickly received thousands of likes and retweets, leaving fans unable to believe their eyes.

Some were quick to point out that the team may have been trying to divert attention from the fact that they were trailing 9-1 against the Atlanta Braves at the time of the delay.

So far this season, the Twins are 72-58 and have a good chance of making the playoffs.

However, the team has just suffered two consecutive series losses against the Cardinals and Padres.
