Alabama man stranded in Pensacola by helicopter after stroke, construction project planned near Highway 98 and Blue Angel Parkway, details of new sports bar
A development project has been submitted to the Escambia County Development Review Committee to create a two-building commercial-retail parcel on currently undeveloped land on South Blue Angel Parkway.
The proposal site is near a Regions Bank and a Winn-Dixie, which are north of the site at Blue Angel Crossing Plaza.
Both buildings are located on their own property, which together is approximately 1.9 acres in size.
At this stage of the project’s approval process, developers plan to convert the two buildings into a fast-food restaurant and a medical center, each with its own parking lot.
Their addresses are 100 and 140 S. Blue Angel Parkway, according to the project information form filed with Escambia County.
Preliminary site plans for the project indicate that the restaurant will have an area of approximately 232.5 square meters, while the medical building is planned to have an area of approximately 374.5 square meters.
Potential tenants for the buildings are not currently available.
Panera Bread is coming to northwest Pensacola: Have you noticed the construction on West Nine Mile Road? A popular restaurant will soon be opening there.
The developers want to build an access road to South Blue Angel Parkway that connects both parking lots, and they also propose connecting the project to the Winn Dixie parking lot via an asphalt road.
The project is scheduled to have a pre-proposal meeting with the DRC on Wednesday, August 14. The project was submitted on July 31.
