Need a dose of 2000s nostalgia? Then just head to any high street fashion brand and immerse yourself in plenty of balloon skirts, butterfly print crop tops, cargo pants and crystal embellished jeans. Yes, there are a plethora of Y2K trends currently taking over our wardrobes, but get ready for a double dose, courtesy of Sophia Bush. Or rather, Brooke Davis.
On TikTok, Sophia posted a video in which she shows off a selection of outfits taken straight from the set of OneTreeHill. Literally! Die-hard fans will no doubt recognize some of the looks as those worn by Brooke the character throughout the nine seasons of the teen series. In case you need a reminder, Sophia conveniently included a snapshot of her as Brooke in said ensemble with each outfit change.
Sophia captioned the opening clip, “Clothes over Bros, 21 years later…” in reference to the character’s clothing company, and captioned the post, “We all know B. Davis would have *loved* Tik Tok trends.”
Brooke needs no introduction for those who have seen OneTreeHill (and if you haven’t, we definitely recommend you rewatch the series.) Sophia was played by her for the entire run of the teen series, which originally aired from 2003 to 2012. As her character developed, she went from high school party girl to successful fashion designer with a wardrobe that was the envy of every girl watching at home (us). So is it any wonder Sophia kept half of it?
Turns out, Sophia was actually reunited with Brooke’s wardrobe in March, courtesy of Audrey Long, who runs XOXO’s celebrity outfit archive shop, Poship Girl. Her finds included a red lace V-neck crop top that she wore for the show’s season 1 promo shoot, while a peach terrycloth halter ring top by Juicy Couture and a sequined paisley dress by BCBGMaxazria were both seen in season 2. The red strapless A-line dress by Bari Jay was worn at Nathan and Haley’s second wedding in season 3, plus a 3.1 Phillip Lim little black dress with a jeweled white collar and a purple ruffle-sleeve dress by Amanda Uprichard were also seen in the TikTok.
“When I was supposed to meet Sophia at a convention, I personally handed her a big bag with all the outfits. Each outfit was paired with a photo of Sophia in the show. She was so excited and immediately started pulling dresses out of the bag,” Long said. People To give Bush the clothes“It was so much fun to see her reaction when she wore her iconic outfits again.”
