Mr Ng Tian Chong, CEO of Singtel Singapore, said: “With ARRP, companies only need to specify their desired outcomes and the software does the rest.

“Even without knowledge of network resources and management, companies can take advantage of the new possibilities of 5G and network slicing.

“This paves the way for companies to explore new use cases in dynamic environments such as homeland security, healthcare, smart manufacturing and even high-traffic consumer events.

“We invite companies to test the technology so they can experience how easily they can manage their network requirements to support their business needs.”

This innovation enables enterprises to use 5G without having to manage complex network resources and opens up new opportunities in sectors such as healthcare, smart manufacturing and security.

Daniel Ode, Head of Ericsson Singapore, Philippines and Brunei, added: “Ericsson’s automatic radio resource partitioning solution enables Singtel to define and set measurable goals or ‘intent’ for its enterprise customers in terms of uplink or downlink throughput as well as maximum resource utilization in the network.

“Despite the challenges posed by increasing complexity, the use of automation enables our customers to deliver scalable and sustainable service differentiation for superior network experiences.”
