There are few rivalries that can rival the one between the Bears and the Packers. The ongoing feud between the two NFC North organizations is one of the oldest in football and never fails to cause bad blood.

This animosity doesn’t end on the field. The two fan bases are among the loudest in the league, and whenever the opposing team comes to town, you can bet the players will hear it from the stands.

Jonathan Owens is in the unique position of having fans on both sides. The safety was a member of the Green Bay secondary last year, but when he became a free agent he signed a two-year deal with Chicago. His wife, Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics Simone Biles, was a frequent visitor to the stands at Lambeau Field in 2023, but will now be a member of the crowd at Soldier Field.

Given the divide between the Bears and Packers, it’s understandable why Chicago fans weren’t thrilled when one of the newest members of their fanbase wore Packers gear, which was the case Saturday night in Week 3 of the preseason.

Simone Biles Jacket

Biles returned from her successful 2024 Summer Olympics, where she won three gold medals and one silver for the U.S. gymnastics team, and moved from the mat to the court, as she was in attendance for the Bears-Bengals preseason game at Soldier Field on Saturday night.

Images of Owens in uniform were all over Biles’ personalized jacket. The only problem is, this was during his time in Green Bay. While the organization’s green and yellow colors weren’t present, the Packers logo and jersey were visible on Biles’ top.

Although Owens is just beginning his career as a member of the Bears, Biles will soon learn that you don’t wear the colors of the club’s arch-rival in the Windy City.

Why is Simone Biles wearing a boot?

Biles was spotted wearing a walking brace following her competitions at the 2024 Paris Olympics. After her competitions ended earlier this week, she gave several final interviews wearing the brace.

“The calf is fine,” Biles told NBC News on August 5. “It’s just a precautionary measure to make sure, because we have another tour after that to heal and all that stuff. So, just a little bit of soreness.”

Biles struggled with a calf injury throughout the competition and was often seen in Paris with her ankle taped, but that didn’t stop her from dominating the field.

“I think top athletes are pretty tough,” Simone said about the competition despite her injury. “So we’re just ready for anything, whether it hurts or is fun.”
