HOUSTON – She is known as the GOAT for a reason.

Simone Biles from Houston is the most successful gymnast of all time. She has won 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals.

Now she is involved in another area: she ensures that visitors to George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston dine like champions.

Simone Biles is developing a new restaurant in partnership with The Playmakers Group. The restaurant, called Taste of Gold, will celebrate Biles’ remarkable achievements and feature unique food and beverages created by restaurant innovator Mark Brezinski, according to the Houston Airports System.

“I am thrilled to partner with The Playmakers Group and their dedicated team to bring a new restaurant to my hometown airport,” said Simone Biles. “I am a foodie at heart and we hope to provide our guests with a wonderful dining experience with Taste of Gold that includes award-winning, unique menu items featuring some of my favorite flavors.”

Taste of Gold is currently under construction in IAH’s Terminal A and is scheduled to open near Gate A8 in the first quarter of 2025, according to the Houston Airports System.

The restaurant is operated by SSP America.

“As a long-time partner, SSP America has a proven track record of successfully executing concessions at Houston airports. This latest concept will help SSP America create even more local jobs,” the Houston Airports System said in a press release.
