Shocking moment: Jason Kelce injures Eagles superfan’s knee in chest bump on ESPN stage

Jason Kelce may have been a little too enthusiastic at his first Philadelphia Eagles tailgate event as a fan on Monday night.

The former center had a lot of fun before his second game as an ESPN analyst on Monday Night Countdown, drinking a few beers and showing off some particularly wild dance moves before going on air.

Back at Lincoln Financial Field, where he spent his entire 13-year NFL career, Kelce joined fellow Eagles legends Nick Foles and Fletcher Cox on stage in the parking lot for a pregame party.

However, the 36-year-old may have overdone the celebrations when he accidentally injured a fan.

Kelce made room on the stage as he encouraged Eagles superfan Ron Dunphy to give him a massive chest bump.

Dunphy collided with the former offensive lineman in the air and there was a violent chest collision that did not end too well for the fan.

As Kelce ran into the crowd of still-cheerful fans, he didn’t seem to notice Dunphy’s pained face.

Dunphy could be seen staggering toward the crowd gathered on stage before grabbing the back of his leg and limping around.

He later confirmed that he had injured his knee, posting “F*** my whole knee in the bucket” and three crying emojis.

However, the passionate fan had no regrets and added: “It was so worth it lmao.”

The injury didn’t keep him from playing either, as he shared a photo of himself at the Linc with an ice pack on his knee before the clash with the Atlanta Falcons.

Dunphy grimaced in pain as he clutched the back of his leg after the impact.

It’s safe to say Kelce enjoyed his return to Philly as he immersed himself in the tailgating experience.

He made the most of his status as a former player and was seen throwing beer to his fans.

The next moment, he was seen dancing enthusiastically on stage – and some fans wondered whether he would still be fit enough for television in a few hours.

“How many drinks did Jason have today? The limit has to be 15,” said one on X.

“How is Jason Kelce going to do a live show tonight?” asked another.

The fan later confirmed that he had injured his knee and posted:

The father of three children also caused a stir with his choice of outfit for the show on Monday evening.

While Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears all wore elegant suits for the Eagles’ game against the Atlanta Falcons at Lincoln Field, Kelce presented himself in a tuxedo from South Philly.

As a tribute to his beloved Eagles, the former center was dressed head to toe in Kelly Green and wore a bright velvet track top and pants that, oddly enough, featured the coat of arms of Italy.

It was Kelce’s second appearance of the evening, after wearing an equally casual Philadelphia-style outfit at the tailgate festivities.
