She won’t let her sister-in-law’s dog attend her wedding after he attacked her pet cat – Chip Chick

Don’t get me wrong, I love my dog more than anything. But given the ever-changing social norms, do you think the idea of bringing pets along is absolutely everywhere goes too far?

Yes, service animals are an absolute exception as they are necessary for the health and well-being of their owners, but think of all the people who try to take their regular furry friends on countless trips – be it to the grocery store or even to the gym.

It’s perfectly normal to consider your puppy a member of the family, I do too, but are there certain environments where dogs just shouldn’t be allowed unless specifically stated?

In my opinion, weddings are one such situation, and this young woman agrees.

She and her fiancé have been planning their upcoming wedding down to the smallest detail for months and now she is so excited about the ceremony. Unfortunately, her sister-in-law Emily has caused a lot of drama because her dog will be attending the event.

For comparison, Emily has a dog that is not only large, but has also attacked her pet cat in the past.

“It was a scary situation and luckily my cat is fine after veterinary care, but it was really traumatic for me,” she recalls.

Yet Emily keeps asking her if she can bring the dog to her wedding, and she doesn’t agree.

Her sister-in-law said the puppy was “like a member of the family” and said she couldn’t imagine not bringing him along on the big day.
