Just a few months ago, this 35-year-old woman learned about her 34-year-old husband’s wedding secret.

She was with her husband for twelve years, married him nine years ago, and always thought that their years together were simply blissful.

Her wedding anniversary was very important to her, but her husband apparently got cold feet and her father-in-law spilled the details after drinking a little too much one evening.

According to her father-in-law, her husband fled the crime scene on the morning of their wedding and his friends were his accomplices.

“My father-in-law got wind of it and dragged him back and told him to either marry me or tell me he didn’t want to but not leave me standing at the altar,” she explained.

“He decided to get married. I had no idea about it. My wedding was a very special day. I felt beautiful and overjoyed. I knew my husband was a little tipsy, but he assured me it was just nerves.”

“I was completely numb. I spoke to other family members and to my husband. He admitted that he had fled because he was afraid of the future and the possible consequences. He did not want to marry me, but he did not want to embarrass me either.”

When the dizziness wore off, she didn’t feel angry. Instead, she felt humiliation and sadness.

She is amazed that so many people in her life knew her husband’s secret and were happy to keep it for him.
