The Sevaan Group, the parent company of Sevaan Manufacturing in Australia, has expanded its manufacturing services to include 3D printing, giving customers greater choice in part production. Sevaan already offers a unique integrated capability, an end-to-end workflow from design, prototyping and testing to production, assembly and finishing of precision-machined metal parts.

“They (customers) now benefit from more choice when purchasing manufactured parts. Our customers can choose to have the parts they need manufactured using either traditional processes or industrial 3D printing. For certain components and production runs, 3D printing can offer certain benefits including rapid prototyping, faster production turnaround time, improved quality and cost savings, making it a very attractive manufacturing option,” said David Green, Chief Executive Officer of Sevaan Group. “Thanks to AM, customers who only need a small number of parts or perhaps longer-lasting components now no longer have to wait for parts from overseas while they experience downtime and can consider more robust and cost-effective part options.”

Sevaan’s AM service includes part inventory to identify components suitable for 3D printing, reverse engineering, part design, and prototyping and testing. The company now offers manufacturing of precise components in plastic, composites, and continuous fibers.

“These flexible materials are surprisingly robust, strong and lightweight and can be optimized to produce parts with great detail and complexity, with the required tolerance and with minimal waste and a low carbon footprint. In low volume production runs, AM is truly a value proposition,” said David. “This move is a perfect example of our ongoing determination to continue to offer our customers everything they need under one roof to further simplify supply chains, reduce lead times and costs and give them peace of mind. We are very excited about our 3D printing service and the benefits it offers our customers. We will continue to use innovation and creativity to move our customers and Sevaan forward well into the future.”
