Senator Tillis issues ultimatum to embattled GOP candidate in crucial swing state: “He owes it to President Trump”

Republican Senator Thom Tillis, R-N.C., issued an ultimatum to North Carolina Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson following high-profile coverage of his alleged porn scandal, saying he “owes President Trump.”

“If the reporting on Mark Robinson is a complete fabrication of the media, he needs to take legal action immediately,” Tillis said in a post on X on Friday.

“If the reporting is accurate, he owes it to President Trump and every Republican to take responsibility for his actions and put the future of North Carolina and our party before his own,” he said.

Tillis’ statement came after Robinson denied involvement in the scandal in a social media video and vowed to remain in the race for governor of the Old North State.

“I can assure you that the things you’re about to see in this story are not the words of Mark Robinson. You know my words, you know my character, and you know I’ve been completely transparent in this race and before. Folks, in this race, our opponents are desperately trying to shift the focus from the substantive issues to what’s on your mind and focus on salacious traps and tabloid garbage,” he said in the X-video.

Mark Robinson, the Republican Party’s candidate for governor in North Carolina, is being asked to withdraw from the presidency due to rumors of an impending bomb.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Robinson’s campaign team for comment.

In a comment to CNN, Robinson said it was “not us.”

“That’s not us. That’s not our words. And that’s not something that’s typical of me,” Robinson said. “I’m not going to go into detail about how someone fabricated these salacious tabloid lies.”

In its report Thursday afternoon, CNN claimed that Robinson had previously used a porn site called “Nude Africa.”

On the porn site, Robinson is said to have exchanged messages with other users about how he had peeped on women in dressing rooms as a teenager, called himself a “black NAZI” and declared a preference for transgender pornography. The candidates’ activities spanned from 2008 to 2012, long before Robinson entered the political stage in 2019, according to CNN.

The CNN report claimed that Robinson used a pseudonym called “minisoldr” on the porn site.

“I came to a spot that was a dead end but was covered with two large vent covers! It just so happened that you were over the showers! I sat there for about an hour watching several girls come in and shower,” Robinson reportedly wrote on Nude Africa.

In another 2010 report, CNN reported that Robinson allegedly said, “I’m a black Nazi!” during a discussion about black Republicans.

The allegations come at a time when North Carolina remains a hotly contested swing state as the 2024 election approaches.

In the most important swing states – including North Carolina – there were razor-thin majorities that decided President Biden’s 2020 election victory over Trump.
