Following recent speculation that Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco might be engaged, Emilia Perez Star sparked an uproar online when fans noticed that she had started following a popular wedding planner, CMG Weddings & Event, on TikTok. The follow was noticed by fellow TikTok star @gootholiday in a now-viral clip posted on August 20. CMG specializes in luxury weddings in California, specifically Los Angeles, Napa Valley, and San Francisco.

Gomez has not publicly announced or confirmed her engagement to the music producer, but recently shared a mirror selfie with a double heart emoji hiding her left ring finger.

The couple confirmed that they would start dating in late 2023 after about six months together. In July, a source told We weekly that the couple are “very serious and have talked about marriage” and that Gomez sees Blanco as “definitely endgame (for her).”

In May, Blanco talked about her first date with Gomez in an interview with Howard Stern – and how quickly they realized it was something special.

“It was so crazy,” Blanco recalled. “When we went on our first date, I didn’t even know it was a date. She was like, ‘Hey, do you want to hang out?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ We went and hung out, and I remember talking. And she was like — she’s such a sassy person, and she’s so cool, so nice, so sweet, everything — and I remember sitting there and she was like, ‘Well, I would have worn something different on this date,’ and I was like, ‘What? We’re on a date?’ And then before I know it, we were hanging out the next day and the next day and the next day!”

He added: “The way we talk and stuff, people always say to me, ‘You know when you meet your best friend.’ She’s really like my best friend. We laugh all damn day. She inspires me. When I come home from work, I think I had a good day. I’m like, ‘What have you been doing?’ She goes, ‘Oh, I just filmed this thing with Meryl Streep and then I was at a charity event and now I’m recording –‘ My day sounds crap every day compared to hers.”

When Stern asked Blanco if he had picked out a ring for Gomez, Blanco replied, “I have nothing. I don’t have any shoes on. I have to pull myself together.”
