Secret service investigates report that agent left Trump event to breastfeed

LAUREN TAYLOR: THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICE HAS BEEN UNDER SCRUTINY SINCE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE AND FORMER PRESIDENT DONLD TRUMP WAS SHOT AT A RALLY IN BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA LAST MONTH.

Now the agency has confirmed that it is investigating allegations that a Secret Service agent left her post to breastfeed her child during a Trump campaign rally in North Carolina, raising serious concerns about security protocols.

The alleged incident occurred when the agent on site conducted a final search and discovered him breastfeeding in a room designated for important intelligence work, potentially compromising emergency response capabilities.

THE AGENT IN QUESTION SHALL ALSO BRING TWO FAMILY MEMBERS INTO THE RESTRICTED AREA ACCOMPANIED BY EVENT STAFF WHO DO NOT HAVE THE APPROPRIATE SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BYPASS THE CHECKPOINTS ESTABLISHED.

The secret service says it has launched an investigation into the allegations.

The agency’s operational challenges are increasingly being scrutinized.

DESPITE A BUDGE INCREASE TO $3 BILLION, THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICE CONTINUES TO STRUGGLE WITH STAFF DIFFERENCES, POTENTIALLY IMPAIRING ITS ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE PROTECTION.

After the assassination, reports emerged that agency officials had repeatedly rejected previous requests from Trump’s security team for more agents and equipment.

Now, according to the New York Times, some secret service agents from President Biden’s team have been transferred to Trump’s protection team because there are threats against Trump and Biden does not have enough travel opportunities.

Neither the White House nor Trump’s campaign team have commented on the matter.
