Sean “Diddy” Combs’ first meal in a “rat-infested” New York prison reveals he was only allowed to shower three times a week

Disgraced star Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was sent back to the notorious New York prison on Wednesday pending trial on organized crime and sex trafficking charges, is being served three meals a day in his cell.

Combs was taken into custody in New York City earlier this week on organized crime and sex trafficking charges. He appeared in court on Wednesday to make his second bail request, but his $50 million bail request was denied on the grounds that he was a flight risk.

He is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, the same facility that once held disgraced rapper R. Kelly and Ghislaine Maxwell.

According to the New York Post, the rapper’s first meal in prison was Swedish meatballs. He had the choice of a black bean burger, but apparently he chose the meatballs. For sides, Combs went with green beans, egg noodles, a garden salad and a 16-ounce drink.

In their motion for bail, Combs’ attorneys stated: “Several courts in this district have recognized that the conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center are unsuitable for pretrial detention.”

There were reports of overcrowded toilets, a cockroach infestation and sub-zero temperatures in the prison. American financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein died in the same prison.

A quick look at Combs’ daily prison schedule

According to former prison warden Cameron Lindsay, who spoke to TMZ, Combs will have to wake up at 6 a.m. and make his own bed and clean the floor of his cell. In addition to three showers a week, he will have an hour of free time each day. While Combs’ lawyers will visit him more frequently while he works on his case, friends and relatives will be allowed to meet with him regularly.

Combs is currently being held in the prison’s special housing facility, separated from the public.

According to Lindsay, this is probably done for security reasons, as some inmates might view the killing of a well-known inmate like Combs as a “badge of honor.”

Combs was charged with organized crime, sex trafficking and transportation for the purpose of prostitution following his arrest in New York on Monday. He pleaded not guilty.
