Black Butterfly” is the second hit single from Stapp’s chart-topping album, Higher Power (Napalm Records). It follows the title track, “Higher Power” which reached number 8 on Active Rock in March. SCOTT STAPPs fourth solo album, Higher Power is now available from all DSPs HERE.

The Grammy-winning songwriter, solo artist and Believe Frontman has returned to the zeitgeist with several projects and Believe‘s return, “This is something this industry has perhaps never experienced before,” accordingly Pollstar.

Traversing liberation, acceptance and growth, the new video shows a lonely figure tormented by opposing forces until the light within breaks through. The cocoon is the catalyst for the narrator’s transformation from fragile to wild, leading a lion attack.

As Stapp says:

Stapp commissioned video and motion graphics specialist Scott Kennedy of 12 Inch Media, a company based in Glasgow, Scotland, to create the video.

Stapp adds:
“When ‘Black Butterfly’ came on the radio, I wanted to share a new image. Scott (Kennedy) didn’t sacrifice artistry for speed. In the final version, it felt like the start of a whole new chapter.”

Overcoming defeat to emerge reborn, “Black Butterfly” is a groovy eye-catcher with an unwavering chorus, energetic riffs by Kevin Thrasher (@kthrash) and Stapp’s unforgettably beautiful vocals.

In March 2024 Higher Power debuted to praise for its lyrical power and powerful delivery. The album debuted at #23 on Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales chart (all genres), and Luminate reported it at #2 (Current Hard Music Albums), #4 (Current Digital Albums), #5 (Current Record Label Independent Albums), and #3 (Current Rock Albums).
