Two teams are battling for their first win of the year as the Jets (0-1) travel to Music City to face the Titans (0-1) in Week 2 of the NFL season.

Last week, Jets QB Aaron Rodgers played his first full game with the organization. It was obvious that the 40-year-old four-time NFL MVP was rusty, playing all four quarters for the first time in 610 days after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in Week 1 of last season. The defense didn’t help either, allowing one point on eight consecutive drives in Week 1 in a 32-19 loss to the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers.

Can Rodgers, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall and Co. fight back, or do the Jets absolutely have to win in their home opener against the Patriots after a short week?

Here is our live coverage of the Jets vs. Titans game in NFL Week 2:

Check back throughout the day for live updates from Jets-Titans, kickoff 1pm

Allen has one on the ground and one in the air as he outpaces everyone else on a 20-yard touchdown run to give Gang Green a 24-17 lead with 4:31 left in the fourth quarter.

On third and short, Rodgers connects with Wilson, who beats his opponent one-on-one and catches a 26-yard pass over his shoulder, bringing Gang Green within a field goal halfway through the fourth quarter.

It was Ridley’s second touchdown of the game, as he beat Sauce Gardner for a 40-yard touchdown to tie the game late in the third quarter.

Gang Green starts their third drive of the second half in a great spot after Charles blocks the Titans’ punt deep in Tennessee territory, leading to a 33-yard field goal by kicker Greg Zuerlein and giving the team a 17-10 lead halfway through the third quarter.

The Jets score touchdowns on two consecutive drives when Rodgers makes a perfect pass over a defender to Hall for his second passing touchdown of the day.

Hall dominated that possession and they advanced deep into Titans territory thanks to a 30-yard run, his longest run of the season to that point, taking the ball to Tennessee’s 30-yard line.

It was a brutal start to Week 2 for Gang Green. For long stretches they had more penalty yards than total yards.

After forcing their first turnover of the season, things finally clicked, leading to a 12-play, 73-yard touchdown drive by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who scored his second touchdown in a Jets uniform.

Despite being only three points behind, it seems like the Jets are in a worse position. They already have six penalties for 65 yards while the Titans have two penalties for 15 yards.

Before the five-minute offensive drive to the win, the Jets were dominant in terms of possession because the defense could not take the necessary defensive action, otherwise a costly penalty could have prolonged the attack.

To turn things around, Gang Green must start the second half with a solid drive that leads to points and not allow the Titans any additional plays on offense.

Offensive coordinator Nathaniel also needs to find a way to get running backs Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson going, as they have combined for just 46 yards on 11 touches.

The former Jets kicker’s goal gives Tennessee a field goal lead at the end of the first half.

It’s a receiving touchdown and the first of his career for Allen, who brought a 12-yard screen pass from Aaron Rodgers into the end zone just before the two-minute warning.

The 2024 fourth-round pick flashed his brilliance in the preseason and appears to be a viable replacement for starting RB Breece Hall.

Echols replaced injured CB DJ Reed, grabbed a 50/50 ball out of the air and intercepted it, finally giving Aaron Rodgers and Co. a chance to get something going on offense late in the first half.

Gang Green continues to be stuck on defense on offense and has more penalty yards (50) than total yards (20) just before halftime.

The Jets defense struggles on their second drive, getting penalties and Tennessee moving the ball further down the field, leading to a 10-yard Calvin Ridley touchdown, giving them a 7-0 lead late in the first quarter.

Tennessee’s touchdown drive covered 68 yards in nine plays and took 6:38 minutes.

On third and short, Gang Green leaves the field as they bring down the Titans quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. Will McDonald IV is credited with the sack, his first of 2024 and the fourth of his career.

A good start for the Jets defense after failing to stop an attack against the 49ers last week.

A few minutes before kickoff will be the time to see how effectively Quinnen Williams, Jermaine Johnson and Co. can attack Levis. In Week 1, the Jets’ defense was repeatedly battered by the 49ers, who scored on eight consecutive possessions. Today, they should have an easier task compared to the San Francisco offense they faced last Monday night.

Gang Green will need to attack Levis early and often, who had three turnovers (two interceptions and a lost fumble) and was sacked three times in Week 1 against the Bears.

Gang Green will be without cornerback DJ Reed, who plays alongside Sauce Gardner. The Jets need Brandin Echols and 2024 fifth-round draft pick Qwan’tez Stiggers to play a bigger role in stopping Titans wide receivers Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins in Reed’s absence this afternoon.

Prediction for NY Jets vs. Titans

The selection: Jets 24, Titans 13

Here’s why: Tennessee miraculously managed to lose in Week 1 despite being up by three points and not allowing an offensive touchdown. After playing against one of the best teams in the NFL, the 49ers, Aaron Rodgers and Co. should now have a much easier time holding and moving the ball throughout the game to give the Jets their first win of the season, as the defense is putting up a much better performance against QB Will Levis and the Titans.
