Citrus area

Citrus County opened four sandbag storage sites before the storm.

According to county authorities, all locations will remain open for self-service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, while supplies last.

• Bicentennial Park, 501 N Baseball Point, Crystal River
• Floral Park, 9530 S Parkside Ave, Floral City
• Old Hernando Elementary School, 2435 N Florida Ave, Hernando

Sand and bags are provided.

Staff are on site to assist residents during the following times:

• Monday – 1pm to 5pm
• Tuesday – 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Wednesday – 19:30 to 17:00

Hernando County

Hernando County opens four sandbag sites.

County officials say all sites will be self-service and anyone filling sandbags is asked to bring a shovel.

Linda Pedersen Park, 6300 Shoal Line Blvd., Spring Hill

• Monday – 2pm to 5pm
• Tuesday – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Wednesday – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Anderson Snow Park, 1360 Anderson Snow Rd., Spring Hill

• Monday – 2pm to 5pm
• Tuesday – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Wednesday – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ridge Manor Community Center, 34240 Cortez Blvd., Ridge Manor

Spring Lake Methodist Church, 4191 Spring Lake Hwy., Brooksville

Hillsborough County

Temple Terrace

The City of Temple Terrace opens a sandbag site ahead of possible Tropical Storm Helene.

• Sports Complex, 10369 US Highway 301.

The location is open on:

Tuesday – 12pm to 7pm

Wednesday – 8pm to 7pm

City officials say residents will be allowed a maximum of ten sandbags per person and that identification will be required to verify residency.

Pasco County

There are two sandbag stations in Pasco County that are open 24 hours a day, weather permitting.

• Magnolia Valley Golf Course, 7223 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey
• Pasco County Public Works, 30908 Warder Rd., San Antonio

In addition, the district has two additional self-service stations open daily from sunrise to sunset until further notice.

• Veterans Memorial Park, 14333 Hicks Rd., Hudson
• Pasco Fire Station #29, 6907 Dairy Rd., Zephyrhills

Pinellas County

Dunedin

• City of Dunedin Highlander Park parking lot, 903 Michigan Blvd, Tuesday, September 24, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., while supplies last. Sand and bags will be available once pre-filled containers are depleted.

The sandbag site is available to Dunedin City residents and business owners with proof of residency (driver’s license or current utility bill). There is a maximum of 15 bags per resident or business owner. Sand, sandbags and shovels are available at the site. Assistance is available for those with special needs.

Gulfport

The City of Gulfport has opened a sandbag site:

• 49th Street Neighborhood Center, 1617 49th Street South, Gulport

City officials say the location has a 10-bag limit and may require proof of residency.

The facility is open at the following times:

• Monday – 13.00 – 18.00
• Tuesday – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pinellas Park

The City of Pinellas Park will open two sandbag stations exclusively for Pinellas Park residents. Each resident can receive up to 10 sandbags.

Prefabricated sandbag area:

Parking at 6151 78th Ave N. Pinellas Park

• Tuesday (24.9.) 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Wednesday (25.9.) 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting)

Self-service sandbag area:

Helen Howarth Park, 6301 94th Avenue Pinellas Park

• Tuesday (24.9.) 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Wednesday (25.9.) 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting)

To receive their sandbags, residents must present a water bill and/or a valid driver’s license proving they live in Pinellas Park.

Saint Petersburg

The City of St. Petersburg extended non-emergency operations at the Stormwater Pavement & Traffic Operations Building until 7 p.m. on Monday.

The following sandbag sites are open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (weather permitting):

• Stormwater Pavement and Transportation Building, 1744 9th Ave. N
• Shelter at Lake Maggiore Park – 3601 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. St. S
• Northeast Park East Baseball Field Parking Lot – 955 62nd Ave. NE

Sarasota County

Sandbags will be available to Sarasota County residents at three locations on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Ed Smith Stadium (parking lot), 2700 12th St.
• South County Fleet Services, 4571 State Road 776/Englewood Road

Venice

The City of Venice will offer a self-service sand station at 252 Seaboard Ave. on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 24-25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sand is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Shovels will be provided. Residents may either bring their own bags or pick up bags at City Hall, 401 W. Venice Ave., or Venice Public Works, 1350 Ridgewood Ave., through 4 p.m. Monday, September 23, and beginning at 8 a.m. September 24-25. Limit of 10 bags per vehicle.
