Samsung is offering $300 credit when you buy a Galaxy Z Fold 6 – but there’s a catch

If you’re curious about all the hype surrounding Galaxy AI, the centerpiece of this year’s Samsung flagships, then we have good news. Samsung is sweetening the deal for new customers with an instant $300 credit when they purchase a Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Currently, if you buy a Galaxy Z Fold 6 through Samsung’s online store, you’ll get an instant $300 credit that you can use toward other items in the Samsung store, including the Galaxy Watch Ultra, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (which are some of the best noise-canceling earbuds we’ve ever tested), the Galaxy Watch 7, or any other Samsung device or accessory you’ve got your eye on.

Even better, you’ll get a 25% bundle discount on other Samsung devices when you use your credit at purchase. And you can combine this deal with the free storage upgrade Samsung was already offering, saving you an additional $120 on the 512GB model.

While this is one of the best Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 deals we’ve seen so far, there’s a big caveat. You’ll only get the $300 credit if you forgo Samsung’s trade-in offers, which means you’ll pay the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s full $1,899 price. Currently, Samsung is giving up to $1,440 off the Z Fold 6 if you trade in your older phone, so if you’re planning on upgrading from a newer-generation Samsung phone like the Galaxy Z Fold 5, this might not be the deal for you.

This offer is also limited to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but you can still get a 25% discount when you purchase a Galaxy Z Flip 6 and bundle other devices or accessories.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 may be $100 more expensive than its predecessor, but it offers some welcome improvements. The lighter but wider cover display is more comfortable to type on with two hands, and running apps feels less cramped, too.

The new foldable is also packed with new Galaxy AI features and offers easy access to Google Gemini. The Live Translate feature, for example, offers an audio and text transcript of what another person is saying in real time, and is shown on both the main display and the cover display. The only thing that sets the Galaxy Z Fold 6 apart (apart from its high price) is the fact that it comes with the same 4,400mAh battery as the Z Fold 5. In our Galaxy Z Fold 6 battery life test, we saw it last around 10.5 hours, which isn’t great but might not be a deal-breaker for everyone. Overall, though, this is an excellent foldable phone that’s worth the investment.
