Just days after her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya got engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala, the Oh! Baby star received a bizarre marriage proposal from a fan that sent the internet into a frenzy.

The fan, who goes by the Instagram handle ‘Mukesh Chintha’, shared a video that quickly caught everyone’s attention. In the clip, the fan humorously pretended to track down Samantha’s home in Hyderabad, which culminated in a playful marriage proposal at her ‘gym’. The video began with Mukesh jokingly saying, “I’m on my way to Samantha’s place to tell her not to worry because I’ll always be there for her.”

He then “finds” her at the gym and proposes to her, asking her to be financially independent for two years before they get married. Mukesh even got down on one knee, which added a dramatic touch to the proposal.

The caption to the video read, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take,” which clearly showed that Mukesh got the joke and wasn’t taking himself too seriously. However, what really stole the show was Samantha’s reaction. The actress wrote in the comments section, “The gym in the background almost won me over,” alluding to the fan’s light-hearted nature.

Naga Chaitanya’s engagement

The fan’s proposal comes close on the heels of the news that Naga Chaitanya is engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala. The engagement, which took place in a private ceremony at Nagarjuna’s house in Hyderabad, was confirmed by Nagarjuna himself. He shared photos from the event and revealed that Chaitanya has been struggling emotionally since his split from Samantha in 2021.

“Chay is happy again. He is very happy. Me too! It has not been an easy time for Chay and the family. The separation from Samantha has left him very depressed. My boy does not show his feelings to anyone. But I knew he was unhappy. To see him smiling again… Sobhita and Chay are a wonderful couple. They love each other dearly,” Nagarjuna told Times Now.
