Saints-Eagles: Live updates on the game against New Orleans | Saints

The New Orleans Saints host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at 12 p.m. The home team will look to keep the momentum going after an impressive 2-0 start to the season. Follow the scores and live updates here.

The Saints have scored 91 total points on offense this season as Derek Carr and the rest of the offense have far exceeded expectations in the early stages of the season.

The Eagles enter the game with a 1-1 record after the Atlanta Falcons defeated Philadelphia on home turf last Monday.

The last game between the Saints and Eagles was on January 1, 2023, with New Orleans leaving Philadelphia with a 20-10 win.

UPDATED, 10:54 am: Welcome back to the Saints live blog. I’m Times-Picayune Saints editor Zach Ewing and I’m here to bring you some updates, analysis and social reaction from the Saints vs. Eagles game at Caesars Superdome today.

I’ve been doing this for two years, and this one has the biggest big-game feel of all. In fact, I think it’s the Saints’ biggest home game since Halloween 2021, when Jameis Winston was injured but the Saints beat Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champion Bucs to take a 5-2 lead.

Either way, this game is a 3-0 start and continues to build a lot of hype and momentum for the Saints’ historic start, which includes wins of 47-10 over Carolina and 44-19 last week in Dallas.

An early note: Taysom Hill (chest) is out for the Saints, which isn’t surprising after his participation was downgraded to questionable yesterday. That means rookie tight end Dallin Holker will make his NFL debut, as will rookie linebacker Jaylan Ford.

Other inactive Saints players: WR Bub Means, WR AT Perry, QB Spencer Rattler (emergency third QB), DT Khalen Saunders and LB D’Marco Jackson.

The Eagles have safety CJ Gardner-Johnson active, meaning the former Saints starter will be playing against New Orleans for the first time. That should be interesting.

Players not currently playing for Philadelphia include star receiver AJ Brown and former LSU star linebacker Devin White.

As we get closer to kickoff, we are back with lots more information.
