Sabrina Carpenter took a moment during her concert on Sunday night (September 29) to address the recent indictment against the mayor of New York Eric Adams.

The 25-year-old singer just performed a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden in the city and made comments about the mayor’s troubles with the law.

If you didn’t know, SabrinaThe “Feather” music video, released in October 2023, may have actually helped in the case against him!

“Damn, what now?” Sabrina says in a video from her concert posted on Twitter/X. “Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted, shall we?”

For context, part of SabrinaThe “Feather” music video was filmed in a Brooklyn church, which caused a major uproar when a bishop disciplined the Catholic priest who allowed the video to be filmed there. The priest was demoted.

That put the priest and the church in the sights of authorities, as federal authorities issued a subpoena to the church earlier this month in connection with possible business dealings Mayor Adams‘ former chief of staff.
