Sabrina Carpenter ends her “Nonsense” outro tradition
If there is one thing that Sabrina Carpenter has become famous for over the past two years, it is the tradition surrounding her hit “Nonsense”.
In fact, in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Sabrina took the opportunity to dispel the misconception that she was “just disgustingly horny,” adding, “The reality is that writing (the outros) comes from being unafraid of your sexuality, not from not being able to put it down.”
The first show of Sabrina’s highly anticipated sold-out tour took place in Columbus, Ohio. While fans were thrilled to learn that “Nonsense” made it onto the 19-song setlist, they were surprised by Sabrina’s incredibly clever way of officially leaving out the outros.
At the end of the song, when she would normally start with the surprise ad-lib, Sabrina pretended to continue singing as she disappeared under the stage – but no sound came out of her microphone.
Overall, fans were very impressed with Sabrina’s premiere, with the staging, costumes and setlist receiving praise on social media.
