Ryan Williams gives Alabama some breathing room against USF with an incredible 43-yard touchdown

Ryan Williams scored a huge touchdown late in the 4th quarter of Alabama’s game against South Florida in Week 2 on Saturday night.

For the second straight game, the Crimson Tide struggled to pull away from USF. They were only up 21-6 late in the final period, but it was Williams who made a big play that gave the Tide some of the edge over the Bulls.

Williams caught a ball under the numbers and then immediately turned left to get around a USF defender and reach the sideline. From there, his speed did the rest of the work.

Williams won a race to the end zone and gave Alabama a 28-16 lead:

Williams is only 17 years old, but is already establishing himself as one of the best young receivers in the country. A 5-star prospect for the class of 2024, Williams was ranked a year higher to transfer to Alabama for this season.

Alabama is certainly happy he made the decision. Williams caught two touchdowns in Alabama’s season-opening win over Western Kentucky in Week 1. Despite his young age, he undoubtedly appears to be one of Alabama’s best playmakers.

Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will face Wisconsin next weekend in Madison.
