Speculating about the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favorite pastime for many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors spawned by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important note: Rumors are just that – rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating in the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track the accuracy of rumors in a weekly feature called “Rumor Look Back,” which you can find here. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt.

Rumors of the day:

  • There are no predictions yet about Kenny Omega’s return to AEW, says the Wrestling Observer, but he is currently training at a moderate intensity.
  • When he returns, Kota Ibushi wants to return with him, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
  • Fightful Select points out that talks are ongoing between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery regarding a new TV deal and things are looking good. While there are still obstacles, “a substantial offer” was recently made for the AEW programming, with their sources saying it is “at least double” the previous deal.

  • They also say that AEW is actively negotiating with Saraya over her contract, which includes option years that could extend her stay with the company. Her current contract expires in September.
