Ron Howard performed his daughter’s wedding ceremony.
The 68-year-old actor and director, who has children Bryce (41), Paige (37), Reed (35) and 25-year-old Jocelyn with his wife Cheryl, served as best man at Paige’s wedding to actor Tim Abou-Nasr on Sunday (01.05.22), while his eldest daughter was a bridesmaid.
Alongside a series of photos from the big day in Central Park, “Jurassic World” star Bryce Dallas Howard wrote on Instagram: “Congratulations to the newlyweds! Even though it took an entire pandemic to bring about this special moment, I can’t think of a more perfect day to celebrate you both. Tim, I am filled with gratitude and joy to call you my brother!!”
Bryce then paid tribute to her father – also known for his role as Richie Cunningham on “Happy Days” in the 1970s – and asked for a “round of applause” for him after he led the day.
She added: “And last but not least, a round of applause for our incredible officiant @realronhoward!”
Meanwhile, the “DaVinci Code” filmmaker also paid tribute to Paige and his new son-in-law on Instagram.
He wrote: “Our Paigey looked like the floral goddess she truly is in one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen. Groom @timmyabou looked amazing too, it was an unrivalled highlight for me to perform the ceremony.”
Paige, who had been engaged to Tim since 2020 but had to postpone the wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic, shared her own photos from the day, adding that it was the “most beautiful day of (her) life so far” and thanking everyone involved.
She wrote: “The best day of my life so far… And so on and so forth. We are in seventh heaven! Thank you to everyone who made our special day what it was.”
