Roadrunner expands cross-border LTL service to Western Canada with new delivery options

Roadrunner is expanding its LTL service to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and surrounding areas of Canada. This move follows the launch of less-than-truckload services to Toronto and Montreal earlier this year. All origins shipping freight to Seattle, Washington will have access to the new LTL service to Western Canada.

“We are launching a new service to Western Canada after opening Toronto and Montreal earlier this year with great success. Our customers have repeatedly asked us to expand our Eastern and Central Canada offering to include the West,” said Tomasz Jamroz, COO at Roadrunner. “Leveraging our strengths in these markets, we can provide the service, quality and on-time LTL experience our customers now expect from Roadrunner.”

Roadrunner announced that it has further expanded its network into Canada following several enhancements, including guaranteed service on select routes, offering shippers on-time delivery on the promised date or a full refund of fees, the opening of a new service center in Atlanta, and one-day service between Southern California and Chicago locations.

“Our intelligent network continues to expand and now offers service to Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver,” said Ryan Schelb, vice president of network strategy and expansion at Roadrunner. “We use data and analytics to analyze which markets to enter next to provide the best long-haul LTL service. Service to Western Canada will benefit tremendously from having Seattle as a starting point, as our metro-to-metro network is unique in the LTL world.”
