RFK appears with Trump at Arizona rally after suspending his campaign

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who suspended his campaign on Friday, appeared alongside Donald Trump at a rally in Glendale, Arizona.

Kennedy, who endorsed Trump on Friday, said he had already begun talking to Trump during the campaign about issues such as food security, foreign policy and domestic investment.

“We didn’t talk about the things that divide us – because we don’t agree on everything – but about the values and issues that unite us,” Kennedy said.

“Don’t you want a president who will take us out of the wars and rebuild the middle class in this country?” he asked.

“Don’t you want a president who will protect America’s freedoms? And protect us from totalitarianism?”

At the rally, Trump said he would establish a panel of experts to work with RFK Jr. to address the rise of chronic and childhood health problems in the United States.

Trump also said he plans to establish an independent presidential commission on assassination attempts to release documents related to the assassination of JF Kennedy and to “thoroughly investigate” the assassination attempt against Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier this year.

Trump had previously told his supporters in Las Vegas that he would stick to his campaign promise and abolish the tax on tips for service workers – a political issue that the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, also supports.

“In our case, we mean it,” Trump said. “Someone I know just copied it. They know that’s not going to happen.”

After Kennedy’s suspension of the campaign, Trump and Harris are the two main candidates heading into the general election in November. Kennedy said he would take his name off the ballot in swing states.

Although Kennedy supported former President Donald Trump, he urged his supporters to vote for him in states where his name is still on the ballot.

“I want to thank Bobby. That was very nice,” Trump said Friday of Kennedy’s support. “That was really nice. That’s great.”

According to an average of polls compiled by website 538, Kennedy is averaging 4.7 percent in national polls, behind Harris at 47.2 percent and Trump at 43.5 percent.
