According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Livestock Poultry and Grain Market News Division in St. Joseph, Missouri, weekly weighted average direct sales of livestock in the High Plains region for the week ending August 18 were 60,693 animals, compared to 61,134 animals the previous week and 62,283 animals the year before.

The report is based on sales from feedlots in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota.
