FORT ERIE – As part of its capital improvement program, Niagara Parks continues to invest in infrastructure along the South Niagara Parkway. Repaving work is scheduled to begin on August 19, 2024, and the project is expected to be completed by September 30, 2024.

Asphalt will be resurfaced on five kilometres of the South Niagara Parkway from just south of Cairns Crescent to just north of the Bowen Street intersection, and on approximately one kilometre of the parkway from north of Wintemute Street to the intersection on the south side of Catherine Street.

In addition, sections of the South Niagara Parkway will be repaved from Lakeshore Road (just before the new roundabout) to Beatrice Street and from Schweigler Road to 3255 Niagara Parkway.

Temporary resurfacing will also be carried out on the field side of Cairns Crescent near Sutherland Drive.

As a self-funded agency of the Government of Ontario, Niagara Parks invests its revenues to fulfill its mandate to promote and preserve the natural and cultural heritage along the Niagara River Corridor, including investing in infrastructure improvements and repairs on all properties.
