8:00 p.m – “Previously on ‘The Voice’!” In Episode 1, the coaches began assembling their teams for Season 26. Team Snoop was recruiting Jake Tankersley, Torre Blake And Chrisdeo. Team Reba recruits Danny Joseph And Kendall Eugene. Team Gwen recruits Jan Dan And Sydney Sterlace. Team Buble recruits Sofronio Vasquez And Kiara Vega. Who will they discover tonight?

8:04 p.m – I’m from Nebraska, Dreion His big break came at a nursing organization, where he met Earth, Wind & Fire and then went on tour as their opening act. He auditioned with their hit song “Shining Star” and received a brief appearance from Michael and two more from Reba and Snoop. Gwen got involved at the end and secured another fourth place this season. Snoop said he turned around because he loves Earth, Wind and Fire so much, Gwen admitted it’s “not an easy song,” Michael pointed out his falsetto, and Reba reminded him that she won last season . Snoop told Dreion that he has the skills, but as his coach he can make sure he goes “over the top.” All the coaches fought hard to recruit this four-chair gymnastics artist, but in the end Dreion chose to be the newest member of Team Snoop.

8:16 p.m – Next came Mor Ilderton from West Virginia, who was raised in part by his uncle and aunt, his two supporters who watched him sing “Coal” from the sidelines. Michael hesitated over his button for a while but finally pressed it, blocking Reba and putting him and Snoop in a neck-and-neck race. Michael was proud of hitting the block and emphasized that he was so excited by his “unique” voice that he didn’t want Reba to have anywhere near the chance of stealing it. Gwen said she didn’t press the button because she thought something was wrong. Reba called his audition incredible, mature and sexy. Snoop said he turned around because he liked the way Mor projected the song’s lyrics. After hesitating about the decision himself, Mor chose Michael as his trainer.

8:29 p.m – Rock artist Crystalla Gonzalez Since she was a big fan of hers, she hoped to get Gwen’s attention by singing “Heartbreaker.” Unfortunately, none of the trainers chose the New York singer. Michael explained that he didn’t feel like he was the right coach for them and that he was hoping one of the others would push his button. Gwen said she was “so close” and urged her to come back. As a consolation, Gwen went on stage with Crystalla and sang a bit of “Just a Girl” with her.

8:37 p.m – Returning from the first season and making series history as the first artist to ever return after forming a team in the original season, Felsmere felt like she “came in with a new sound.” Michael and Gwen both turned for their rendition of “Some Kind of Wonderful.” Snoop said he would roll over but thought he couldn’t win against either Gwen or Michael, and Reba agreed that she would place well on one of those teams. Gwen called her voice “so beautiful” and wants to coach someone with “big dreams.” Michael told her that she had a “jazzy thing” and could combine pop and jazz really well. Gwen made it clear that her vision for Felsmere is to help her get to know who she is on stage, and that could well have led to her being chosen as a coach.

8:48 p.mKamila Kiehne‘s version of “Black Velvet” got three instant hits from Snoop, Michael and Reba. This time Gwen held back and the others fought back. Michael told her she sounded “great,” but Gwen said she didn’t have “complete control” of the song. Reba believed she was singing from the heart, and Snoop said he was thrilled by the first note of the song. Before she decided, Michael mentioned the “light that radiates within her” that he sees and promised to help her choose the right songs for the competition. Kamila decided that joining Team Buble would be a good fit.

8:59 p.m – Mechanical engineer Tanner Frick He was raised by his father to work hard, so it was touching to see him emotionally available in the studio to support his son. Tanner sang Morgan Wallen’s song “Thought You Should Know” because he was inspired by how he started on the show and then became so big in country music. This time, Reba got through the blocks despite being the fourth to push her button in another four-round chair fight. Gwen said he performed the song in a “calm, pretty way,” Michael did his best to talk about how much he loves country music, and Reba noted that his growl was a standout moment. Gwen said she really wanted Tanner to choose him, which is why she mentioned her husband, but that wasn’t enough to trump Queen Reba.

9:12 p.m – 19 years old Iris Herrera from Michigan used music to “freely express herself” while growing up in a turbulent home environment. She hoped to “spread light and joy” with her audition for “Gypsy,” and even though Gwen and Michael both thought she sounded just like Stevie Nicks, they didn’t change anything. Gwen recommended that she film herself performing so she could “refine” her style. Michael was worried that other songs would be a mystery to him, so he recommended that she come back and sing another artist’s music.

9:22 p.m – The next artist was Texas Rancher Rowdy Shea with his rendition of “You Should’t Kiss Me Like This.” The audition became another neck-and-neck race between Gwen and Michael. Gwen noted his “warm and gentle” voice and says he has “great stage presence.” Michael admitted he can push the boundaries of country music and believes he can bridge pop music. After bringing his new bride on stage to make his choice, Rowdy joined Team Gwen.

9:33 p.m – Jonathan, Kinsley and Jacob are three friends from Florida who started their group 323 after a meeting at church. They went the pop remix route with their rendition of “(You Drive Me) Crazy” and almost automatically joined Team Reba until Michael pushed his button at the very last second. Reba turned around because she was reminded of her own time in a singing group and said that her harmonies were “tight.” Michael said that they make beautiful sounds in their harmonies, but Reba topped him by saying that she wanted to sing with them. Ultimately, they decided to be the next members of Team Reba.

9:43 p.m – With classic country in mind, 61 years old Gail Bliss She was honored to be named the oldest participant in the competition. Her audition of “If It Hadn’t Been for Love” had the coaches on edge, but none of them pushed the button. Gwen said she loved the yodeling and her vibrato, and Reba appreciated that she came on the show at her age to “kick butt.” Snoop was most dismayed by his decision to almost turn over for her, so it was no surprise that he decided to focus his only chance on the rerun on her. His decision immediately brought Gail to his team.

9:53 p.m – The last performer of the evening was a single father of three daughters Austin’s Stancil from East Oakland. He impressed all four judges right from the start with “Ooo Baby Baby,” but everyone sat back and enjoyed the first half of the song before choosing his song at the end. Michael said he was fascinated by the move from falsetto to the lower register and wanted to see what his voice could do in a different genre. Reba said she was confident she could win again, and Gwen said all parts of his voice were “technically great.” The coaches pulled out all the stops hoping he would pick her, but in the end Gwen was the lucky coach to bring Austyns onto her team.
