Carolina Panthers fans were able to find some optimism heading into their first season with head coach Dave Canales at the helm. It only took one week to destroy most of that confidence, and a second disastrous week only served to reinforce fans’ pessimism. After all that, Canales decided to make a change at quarterback, which sent the media into a frenzy. While national experts had mixed opinions on the decision, Panthers fans are pretty much in agreement that it was the right decision.

90% of Panthers fans believe that benching Bryce Young was the right decision. Among the few who felt the team should continue with Young, there were some voters who still thought Dalton would play better.

Although the head coach supports the decision to bench the quarterback, fans are still not convinced about the direction the franchise is heading. It’s an understandable sentiment. The team was the laughingstock of the NFL last year and managed to be even worse in the first two games this season.

Only 33% of fans have confidence in the direction the team is heading, but that’s up 16% from last week. Things are moving forward, baby!
