Couture Designer Cenderra Ca’Zanthia has caused a lot of drama online after it was claimed that a bride-to-be named Raylee Rukavina stole her custom-made wedding dress. In an August 24 TikTok video, Cenderra detailed the alleged theft, explaining that after the dress was delivered, Raylee refused to pay the remaining balance and blocked the designer on all platforms.

Since then, Raylee has disappeared from social media, fueling rumors that she is in the wrong – however, Raylee’s sister McKenzie has spoken exclusively to Distract to tell their side of the story and set the record straight.

She even claims that the designer lied about several points in the story and ignored Raylee and her family when they tried to contact him before the wedding.

According to Raylee Rukavina’s sister, the claims that the dress was stolen are “completely untrue.”

In an exclusive statement to DistractRaylee’s sister has given her side of the story – and it differs greatly from Cenderra’s claims.

“(Raylee) put down 60 percent as a deposit,” she said. “Her final dress fitting was canceled two days before the scheduled time. The designer also didn’t show up for the scheduled Zoom meeting after canceling the final fitting.” She also points out that the model in the fitting video has a completely different body shape than Raylee, meaning it probably wouldn’t fit Raylee at all.

Raylee’s sister also claims that Cenderra initially lied about shipping the dress and provided a false tracking number, which is why the dress was not delivered until two days before the wedding – and in fact, she says, it did not fit.

“According to the contract, the dress was supposed to arrive on August 10th,” she said. “The designer lied about shipping the dress and sent a false tracking number. When the dress finally arrived TWO days before the wedding, on August 22nd, it was at least two sizes too small, making the dress completely unwearable on her wedding day, even after a visit to a seamstress.”

Because the dress didn’t fit, McKenzie said her sister and mother had to desperately search for a brand new dress and contact Cenderra to get a shipping label to return the dress, but she was uncooperative.

“The bride and her mother tried to communicate with the designer, but he was completely unwilling on their part. They demanded a return label to send the dress back to the designer,” she told us. “Understandably upset, the bride and her mother decided to put the whole thing off until Monday in a desperate bid to find a dress for Raylee to walk down the aisle in.”

Cenderra has launched a GoFundMe campaign to recoup the cost of the “stolen” dress.

Since Cenderra’s story went viral, she has created a GoFundMe page dedicated to reimbursing the costs incurred as a result of the “unethical customer experience.” In her description, she shares her version of events: “We are facing significant financial challenges, losses, and emotional distress due to the unscrupulous and unethical tactics of Raylee Rukavina.”

“To date, she has neither paid the remaining balance nor returned the dress. … Because of her actions, I must now hire an attorney and take legal action to reclaim my ownership of the custom-made dress and/or payment of the remaining balance owed to me,” Cenderra said.

She has already raised over $700 of her $12,500 goal.

But in correspondence with DistractMcKenzie claims the total price of the dress was only $6,290 – and Raylee paid $3,774 of that amount before the dress was made.

Distract asked Cenderra for comment.
