Ravens roasted by X’s Community Notes with brutal oneliner after Isaiah Likely’s canceled touchdown

The Baltimore Ravens The social media team made headlines on social media following Thursday night’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs after a post celebrating Isaiah Likely’s canceled touchdown was criticized in X’s Community Notes.

The Ravens looked to exact revenge in a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game, but Baltimore trailed by one point late in the fourth quarter.

On the last drive of the game, the reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson found Isaiah Likely in the back of the end zone with no time left. The touchdown seemed to tie the game until referee Shawn Hochuli reviewed the play.

Probably had one toe out of bounds.

However, by this time, the game had already been posted on social media by the Ravens’ social media team.

“TOUCHDOWN, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Turn on NBC,” said one post on X.

This is where the dreaded community notes on X came into play, which are actually intended to fact-check and contextualize posts.

“No, it wasn’t,” the note said.

The Ravens, of course, disagreed.

“I thought it was a touchdown,” Jackson said. “Still think it was a touchdown.”
