Rams WR leaves the team due to ankle injury

The Los Angeles Rams have another injured star receiver, as Cooper Kupp is questionable to return for Week 2’s game against the Arizona Cardinals due to an ankle injury.

Kupp appeared to be injured late in the second quarter in Arizona. He caught a pass and was tackled by two Cardinals players. He played the rest of the half but was limping noticeably and was with the training staff when the two teams went to the locker room for halftime.

When Los Angeles came out for the second half, Kupp did not come out and continued to be watched.

The extent of Kupp’s injury is currently unknown, but it’s another blow to a Rams team already missing Puka Nacua. The 2023 rookie sensation was injured in the Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions after injuring the same knee he struggled with in training camp. Nacua was found to have a knee sprain and was placed on the injured list, keeping him out of action for at least a month.

With Nacua and Kupp potentially out for the rest of the game, the Rams will be without their two best pass catchers from last season. When Kupp was injured, the Rams were already trailing by a large margin, trailing the Cardinals 24-3 at halftime. Kupp had four catches for 37 yards in the first half.
