Raiders News: Las Vegas wins penalty shootout

The Las Vegas Raiders have not been perfect in the first two games under Antonio Pierce’s first full season as head coach.

But they have shown excellence in one important area: game discipline, just as they did under Pierce during his nine-game tenure as interim coach last season.

In their 26-23 Week 2 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, they were penalized just three times for 15 yards, and in two games they were penalized five times. The Ravens were penalized 11 times for 109 yards. That also played a role in this upset.

The Raiders have won both of their penalty fights this season, and it wasn’t close.

If things continue like this, the Raiders will win a lot of games.
