Rachel Zoe put on a brave face as she attended a launch event in LA, just hours after surprisingly announcing her split from husband Rodger Berman on Monday.

The famous fashion star, 53, announced the news of their split in a statement on Instagram, hours before attending the Crate & Barrel x Jeremiah Brent event.

Rachel and Rodger, 55, who have two sons together, 10-year-old Kaius and 13-year-old Skyler, were married for 26 years and together for 33 years.

But Zoe tried to keep her good spirits up while attending the glamorous evening at the Hotel Bel-Air to keep busy.

When Zoe announced their separation, she wrote: “After 33 years together and 26 years of marriage, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage.”

“We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and the countless memories we have made together.

“Our top priority has always been and will always be our children. We are committed to raising our boys together and continuing to work together in the many businesses we run together. We ask for privacy during this time as we embark on this new chapter.”

When Rachel first appeared at the launch event, she gave her close friend Jeremiah Brent a big hug.

Rachel and Rodger met in the early 1990s while studying at George Washington University.

They married on Valentine’s Day 1996.

Parts of their marriage were documented in the Bravo reality series “The Rachel Zoe Project,” which aired from 2007 to 2013.

The two also appeared for one season on Lifetime’s “Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe” in 2015.

In white letters on a black background, Zoe wrote: “After 33 years together and 26 years of marriage, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage.”

Rodger is co-founder and co-CEO of fashion entrepreneur Rachel Zoe Inc.

Together they were considered a power couple in the fashion world.

In 2021, the pair spoke to People about their joint podcast, “Works For Us,” sharing, “We don’t pretend to be trained relationship experts, but we really understand people and relationships.”

Zoe added: “Everyone, no matter who they are, is in a relationship. It doesn’t matter what kind it is: it’s a marriage, a relationship, a best friendship, a mother-daughter relationship or a work relationship.”

Two years ago, she took to social media to honor Rodger on their 31st anniversary.

“I have loved you @rbermanus since this day 8/29 ❤️ 31 years ago… we have spent this life together and I can’t wait to see what’s to come,” she wrote in the caption at the time.

“Happy anniversary to myself ❤️ And yes, to everyone we met in kindergarten,” she joked.

Rodger had previously told Harper’s Bazaar how they met.

Despite the big change in her life, Rachel seems to be taking things in her stride. On Sunday, she shared snaps of her day in the sun with her 4.7 million Instagram followers via the app’s Stories feature

Zoe shared a smiling group photo with four friends and told her fans: “When I pop up for a quick drink at @hotelbelar and stay until closing time”

“I met Rachel in the summer of 1991. She was 19 and I was 22. She was a hostess at a restaurant and I was working as a waiter in Washington, DC, where we were both attending college,” he told the magazine in 2011.

“I remember vividly the first time I saw her – she was wearing a tight black mini dress, high-heeled pumps, straight hair and big red lips covered in MAC Chili lipstick,” recalls the father of two.

Despite the big change in her life, Rachel seems to take things easy.

On Sunday, she shared outtakes from her day in the sun with her 4.7 million Instagram followers via the app’s Stories feature.

Wearing a black bandeau bikini top, she took selfie videos and captioned one clip: “A few hours alone on a Sunday. Tanning with sunglasses by @rachelzoe.”

Zoe also shared a smiling group photo with four friends and told her fans: “When I pop up for a quick drink at @hotelbelar and stay until closing time.”
