Rachel Zoe and her husband Rodger Berman have separated after 26 years of marriage.
“After 33 years together and 26 years of marriage, Rodger and I have mutually decided to end our marriage,” the fashion designer announced on Instagram on Monday.
“We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and the countless memories we have made together. Our top priority has always been and will always be our children.”
“We are committed to raising our boys together and continuing to work together in the many businesses we run together,” added Zoe, 53.
The celebrity stylist asked for “privacy” from her family and signed the statement with “with love and gratitude – Rachel & Rodger.”
The divorced couple met in 1991 while studying at George Washington University and married in 1998.
Zoe and Berman, 55, have a son together, Skyler (13) and 11-year-old Kaius.
Ahead of the announcement, the former Rachel Zoe Project participant shared a video of herself sunbathing on her Instagram story on Sunday before taking a walk on a scooter and bike with her sons.
Later, she enjoyed a girls’ night at the Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles.
Most recently, Zoe shared a snap with her estranged husband on Father’s Day, calling him “one of the best.”
“Our boys are so lucky and we are so grateful to you,” she wrote under a photo of Berman with her sons.
In April, the Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe star also shared photos from her wedding after recalling the special day on her podcast Climbing in Heels.
Zoe and Berman spoke about their long-term relationship in an interview with Well + Good in 2017.
The TV star gushed about showing his love through “little gestures,” and Berman added that a trip to Starbucks in the morning is a “true token of love.”
“It’s the little things,” Zoe interjected. “But I love jewels.”
The ex-partners then explained that it also helped them to deal with each other “reasonably” by not allowing their anger to show.
“(We) talk things out,” Zoe said, adding that they “don’t really take anything with them to the grave.”
“I think we just get on with it. And anyone who knows us really well would say our recovery rate is the fastest they’ve ever seen. We recover in three to five minutes. We just forget about it – that’s what happens when you’re together for a million years.”
Zoe added that their marriage works because they “look after each other.”
The mother of two children explained that she knew when Berman was hungry and that he knew to pack socks for her on the plane because she forgot and was always cold.
“He always packs an extra pair of little black socks because he knows I don’t have any,” she said.
