QB Jordan Love officially OUT against Titans

Jordan Love is officially unavailable for Sunday’s clash with the Tennessee Titans, so the Green Bay Packers must try to win a second straight game with Malik Willis – a former Titan – at quarterback.

Love will miss his second game with a sprained medial ligament in his left knee. Given his training status during the week and the intensity of his practice leading up to Sunday’s game, it seems fairly certain that Love – who was listed as questionable – will return to action next Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.

Willis and the Packers beat the Indianapolis Colts 16-10 last week to avoid an 0-2 start. On Sunday, they face a winless Titans team that is desperate to avoid an 0-3 start.

Sean Clifford, promoted from the practice squad, will be Willis’ replacement.

The Packers will not only be without Love, but also cornerback Carrington Valentine (with an ankle injury) and offensive lineman Jordan Morgan (with another shoulder injury last week in the game against the Colts).

The Packers’ healthy absences include rookie safety Kitan Oladapo and rookie offensive lineman Travis Glover. Defensive lineman Colby Wooden – a fourth-round pick last year – is healthy for the second week in a row. He is the fifth-ranked interior defensive lineman.
