The love story of the Prince and Princess of Wales is like a true fairy tale.
After their chance meeting as teenagers at St Andrews University, their romance began to blossom, resulting in one of the most popular royal love stories of all time.
This year, William and Kate’s relationship has undergone unprecedented changes following the Princess’ cancer diagnosis, with the Queen admitting that she is “doing well” but “not out of the woods yet.”
Kate relies on the love and support of her partner as well as the positive messages from the public and said in her last public statement: “It really has made a huge difference for William and me and helped us both through some of the more difficult times.”
Looking back on their everlasting love, fans of the royal family have relived some of the couple’s most beautiful moments together on TikTok – including the day they announced their engagement to the world.
One clip in particular has piqued the interest of royal fans, who had never noticed a moment of affection between the couple on that day in November 2010.
In her engagement interview, the now mother of three is asked how she feels about becoming a working member of the royal family.
“It’s nerve-wracking, of course, because I don’t know what I’m doing – I don’t really know my way around,” Kate can be heard saying, stumbling over her words as she battles her nerves.
“I’m ready to learn fast and work hard,” she smiles, and William replies, “She’ll do really well.”
At the same time, William pats his wife’s thigh and gently squeezes her knee. Fans quickly noticed the princess’s “nervousness” and William’s “calming pat on the legs” and were quick to comment on the now viral post.
“I love how he helped her and that the touch gives them security. So in tune with each other,” commented one TikTok user.
“She is so adorable! Just look at the way he looks at her,” gushed another fan, while a third wrote: “Catherine made a good choice. She knew she wanted him. She knew she loved him. She knew it wasn’t going to be easy. He is so proud of her. I really think they work hard at everything.”
