Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear madly in love as they recreate the iconic wedding photo

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex couldn’t keep their hands off each other during their tour of Colombia, but there was one moment when they seemed more in love than ever when they accidentally recreated an intimate wedding moment.

During their visit to Unidad Recreativa El Vallado, where they watched salsa and hip hop performances, Prince Harry took his wife’s hand for an impromptu dance and spun her around with a cheeky smile on his face.

They ended their dance with a kiss, with Meghan cupping her husband’s face in a sweet moment of tenderness that rarely happens among royal couples.

Their outstretched arms and twirling movements were reminiscent of their royal wedding reception at Frogmore House in May 2018. In their Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” the newlywed couple were seen twirling across the dance floor to the song “Land Of 1,000 Dances” by Wilson Pickett.

“I just wanted the music to be fun – even for our first dance,” Meghan said, adding, “It was spinning like a whirlwind. It was so great.”

At the time, she wore her backless halter neck wedding dress by Stella McCartney, custom-made pumps by Aquazzurra and had her hair up in a messy bun.

She also wore bridal white for her last appearance, but this time it was a more relaxed ensemble, consisting of an ecru hand-embroidered midi skirt by Juan De Dios, a white T-shirt and flat brown sandals by Stuart Weitzman. Her hair was left loose and in soft curls that fell past her shoulders.

Confusion about Harry and Meghan’s wedding

The couple confused fans when they announced days before the royal wedding that they had married privately

Prince Harry and Meghan married on May 19, 2018 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, six months after announcing their engagement at Kensington Palace.

While 29 million people watched the royal wedding, the couple dropped a bombshell when they announced that they had married in secret and without guests three days earlier.

During her interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan said the Archbishop of Canterbury performed the ceremony in her garden outside Kensington Palace, and Harry interjected that it was “just the three of us.”

To clear up the confusion, the Archbishop later said that the televised wedding, full of pomp and circumstance, was the official wedding.

“I had a series of private and pastoral meetings with the Duke and Duchess before the wedding,” he told La Repubblica.

“The civil wedding took place on Saturday. I signed the marriage certificate, which is a legal document, and I would have committed a serious crime if I had signed it knowing it was false.

“Well, you can do whatever you want about it, but the civil wedding was on Saturday.”

The Duchess of Sussex looked stunning in a Givenchy wedding dress

Before Meghan took the stage in her dress by Stella McCartney, she already wowed the crowd in her wedding dress by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy.

Kensington Palace released details of the design, explaining: “True to the House’s heritage, the dress’s clean lines are achieved through six carefully placed seams. The focus of the dress is the graphic open boat neckline, which gracefully frames the shoulders and accentuates the slim, sculpted waist.”

The royal bride admitted she had a “clear vision” of what she wanted for her wedding dress

“The lines of the dress continue to the back, where the train flows in soft, rounded folds, cushioned by a triple silk organza underskirt. The narrow three-quarter sleeves add a touch of sophisticated modernity.”

Meghan later explained that she had a “very clear vision” when designing her dress and praised Clare’s work. “The amazing thing about working with Clare was that sometimes designers try to push you in a different direction, but she just completely respected what I wanted to see on the day and she wanted to bring it to life for me.”

“In so many ways, you capture dreams that you will have pondered for years as a girl and as a growing woman.”
