Taylor Swift’s Attendance at Kansas City Chiefs games to support her boyfriend, the Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, receives great attention from her fans.
Despite the increasing attention the 34-year-old pop superstar is attracting, the president of the Kansas City Chiefs Mark Donovan stressed that the team was not trying to “capitalise” on their participation in the Games.
In an interview with Front Office Sports In the report released on Thursday, September 5, he noted: “We will be prepared for them and of course we will welcome them with open arms.”
Donovan added that he recognized the “The “Anti-Hero” singer was there to show her support for Kelce, 34, not to be present in a professional capacity, and the team wanted to respect those boundaries.
“She wants to be a fan,” Donovan said. “This is her free time. She wants to be there to support Travis. We’re going to create this opportunity for her to do that.”
Without the Department for Tortured Poets Star Donovan admitted that Swift’s presence at Kansas City Chiefs games was valuable to the players.
“She brings a lot to the table and it’s a pretty valuable, targeted audience when you look at the makeup of her fan base,” Donovan said. “And we looked for ways we could be respectful.”
“We’re not trying to capitalize on it,” he added. “We’re trying to celebrate it, but it’s not about doing too much or showing her every touchdown or anything like that.”
This isn’t the first time Swift has supported Kelce at his football games. The star made her relationship with Kelce public when she attended her first Chiefs game in September 2023 and watched a total of 13 games over the course of the NFL season, including a trip from Tokyo to Las Vegas in February to watch the Chiefs win the Super Bowl.
Swift’s celebrity friends, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter And Sophie Turner are among those photographed with the singer at Chiefs games.
While the attention Swift receives at Kelce’s games has met with opposition from some football fans, the athlete supports his girlfriend despite all the criticism.
“I think it’s funny when they show who all is at the game,” he said in a September 2023 episode of his podcast “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with his brother. Jasons, 36. “I think it adds a little more atmosphere and gives a little more to what you see.”
Swift has also hit back at the haters in the past, saying TIME in December 2023: “I’m just here to support Travis.”
