Premiere of the coaching show for Olympic sports

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (22 August 2024) – Learfield-based Mountaineer Sports Network will introduce new entertainment for Mountaineer fans this fall with the premiere of the WVU Olympic Sports Coaches Show live from Mountain State Brewing Company in Morgantown.

Beginning September 10, WVU Olympic Sport coaches will appear weekly every Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. at the new Mountain State Brewing Company location on Monongahela Boulevard for a 60-minute live show with host Andrew Caridi. The live show will provide fans with the opportunity to interact with the selected coach each week, ask questions about their team and become more involved in WVU Athletics.

“WVU Athletics and the Mountaineer Sports Network are proud to partner with Mountain State Brewing Company to provide more comprehensive coverage of our Olympic sports programs,” said Matt Wells, WVU’s assistant athletic director for external affairs. “We believe this new coaches show will help fans connect with our coaches, expand each program’s fan base and highlight the overall strength of our sports teams.”

The first live show begins with Mountaineer volleyball, where new head coach Jen Greeny details her vision for the program and recaps her team’s first six games of the young season.

Fans can look forward to audience interaction and entertainment every Tuesday at Mountain State Brewing Company, but the hour-long show is also archived and available the next day for those who don’t live in town or are unable to attend on a particular week.

WVU’s Olympic Sports Coaches Show will be available on-demand the next day through various listening options, including the Varsity app, Apple Podcast stream and the WVUSports.com audio-on-demand feature on the school’s official athletic website.
