Premier League Commentators on NBC: September 28-30

This weekend’s slate of Premier League games may not feature the top-flight clash fans saw last weekend. The drama at the Etihad was great for the fans and they will be hoping to see more of the same this weekend as there are several great games on the schedule this weekend. The most tempting of these might be Manchester United’s game against Tottenham Hotspur. United have struggled to find consistent form across all competitions. There have also been ups and downs for Tottenham this season. Both teams are in the middle of the table with two wins, two defeats and one draw. If either can get back into the race for the top spot, this will be a crucial game on Sunday.

Other fans would have their eyes on the opening game of the weekend. Newcastle host Manchester City in a game with early title prospects. Newcastle are back in the top four despite their struggles last season. However, a defeat last weekend against Fulham destroyed the momentum that had been building. Hosting Manchester City at lively St James’ Park could be just the thing to get things back on track.

Crystal Palace and Everton face off looking for their first wins of the season. Sean Dyche could be in the hot seat at Goodison Park as the Toffees are desperate for results. The possibility of new ownership could be a saving grace for Everton, but the immediate issue is staying in the Premier League. Crystal Palace have had a slow start to Oliver Glasner’s first full season, but this is certainly a winnable game.

NBC reporting
