Pregame injury report for Utah Football vs. Arizona

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Football faces the Arizona Wildcats tonight at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Cam Rising was still considering a game-time decision for Utah

Utah fans have seen this before. Star quarterback Cam Rising is officially considered the game-winning decision.

Rising went through a pre-game process last week to see how the fingers and hand performed on game day. Utah will take the same approach in today’s game with Rising’s injured finger.

With last week’s decision, Isaac Wilson made his first Big 12 away start in a hostile environment. It looks like he’ll be making his second start in the Big 12 tonight and his third time in five total games this season.

At linebacker Sione Fotu, Johnathan Hall continues to play well

At linebacker, Utah veteran Karene Reid suffered an injury near the end of the Baylor game and has been out of action since.

The good news is that Sione Fotu and Johnathan Hall were both able to fill in brilliantly. They all played a big role in limiting Oklahoma State’s ground game to a season-low 48 yards.

Expect Fotu and Hall to continue manning the middle of the field for Utah tonight.

Utah’s depth on defense remains a plus

Defensive player Connor O’Toole suffered an injury relatively early against Utah State. He was eliminated from that game and also missed last week’s contest.

O’Toole is not expected to be available tonight, but he may test things out before the game.

In his absence, Logan Fano and Van Fillinger have continued to shoulder primary responsibility.

Both Paul Fitzgerald and John Henry Daley got snaps against Utah State and will provide depth behind those two starters.
